Charlotte Romsdahl, age 76, of St. James, died on Monday, April 18, 2011, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. Charlotte Helen McCue was born October 27, 1934, at St. James, MN, the daughter of Orral and Mabelle (Lyon) McCue. She grew up and attended school in the St. James area. On December 26, 1953, she was united in marriage to James Romsdahl the couple made their home on the family farm near St. James. Charlotte was active in her church, she made banners, the stoles for the choir robes and aprons for the UMW. She also made quilts for the church and was the secretary for the church board for many years. She was instrumental in starting the bell ringers group in the Methodist Church in St. James and in Trimont. She was also active in the UMW where she worked in the dining room for many church bazaars, she was active in the choir, and led the ice cream social on Railroad Days with all the proceeds going to the music fund. Charlotte is survived by her daughter; Denise (Don) Padgett of Pettibone, ND, sons; Mike (Maxine) Romsdahl of Baltic, SD, Kris (Miki) Romsdahl of Vermillion, SD, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brother; Bob McCue of Panama City, FL, numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim, brother Bill, sisters Betty, Aldyth and Marion.
