Charlotte Hansen

August 5, 1914 — March 17, 2005

Charlotte May was born on August 5, 1914 in Springfield, MN, the daughter of T.C. Hier Sophie (Nelson) Hier. She grew up and attended school in Springfield. On August 21, 1933 Charlotte married Oliver Ollie Hansen in Springfield at her parents home by Rev. W. F. Koerner. The couple lived in Sleepy Eye where Charlotte clerked at the Super Valu for several years. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, former Sunday School teacher, sang in the church choir, member of the Women's Society, member of Hospital Auxiliary, past president and member of Church Circle and also a Past Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star. Charlotte was the last survivor of fifteen children born to T.C. Sophie Hier. Survivors include her daughter, Kahla husband, Jim Snapp of Brownsburg, Indiana, son, Leland wife, Kathleen Hansen of St. Paul, MN, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Oliver Hansen in 1992, 8 brothers and 6 sisters.
