Charles Senf, age 83, passed away at his home in St. James on Thursday, June 11, 2020. Graveside services will be 11am, Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in St. James with Rev. Martin Lopahs officiating. Family will receive friends at the cemetery beginning at 10am Wednesday. Charles Martin Senf was born in St. James on April 8, 1937, the son of Elfrieda (Glienke) and Victor Senf. Charlie grew up in St. James attending St. Paul's Parochial School. At age 16 he began his truck driving career and retired at age 62. He continued to drive from time to time. Charlie and his dog Lester spend many hours and traveled many miles together. Charlie married Linda Meyer on May 4, 1968 at First Lutheran Church in Butterfield. They were members of St. Paul's EV Lutheran Church in St. James. Charlie enjoyed watch wresting on TV and feeding birds in his backyard when he wasn't trucking and in later years talking trucking to his trucking buddies. Charlie is survived by his wife Linda, children; Lynette (David) Gray of Pelican Rapids, Anthony Senf of St. James, Deb (Dan) Fleming of Mankato, Rebecca Senf of St. James, grandchildren; Michaela Gray, Hunter (Amber) gray, Maxwell Fleming, Miranda Fleming, sisters; Judy Junker of St. James, Karen Junker of Mankato, and brother Michael (Cindy) Senf of Starbuck.
