Charles Hoffman

Charles "Chuck" Hoffman, 78, died peacefully surrounded by loving family on Saturday, March 17th at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN. Chuck was born January 12, 1934 in Denison, Iowa. He graduated from Storm Lake High School in 1952 and from Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, IA in 1958. He served with the US Army, stationed in Japan from 1954 to 1956. He taught Biology and Chemistry at the Springfield High School for 35 years. Chuck was also a self employed crop insurance adjuster for 42 years. He will be remembered for his fond interest in airplanes, fishing, golf and wood crafts. He is survived by his wife, Elaine, and children Patty Jo Morris, Gary Don (Sandy) Hesse, Peggy Sue (Brian Mathiowetz) Hesse, Treff Hesse, Heidi (Bob) Fink, and Holli Hoffman; grandchildren Tim Morris, Sarah (Adam) Wenisch, Adam (Samantha) Hesse, Amber and Dylan Hesse, Alex, Taylor and Isaac Fink; great grandchildren Lexi, Luke, Kaleb, Avery and Emma Wenisch.
