Charles Hensch

Charles William Hensch was born on April 15, 1935, in Sanborn, MN, the son of William and Monica (Schmitz) Hensch. He graduated from Sanborn High School and entered the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1960. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Wannarka on May 1, 1965, in Wanda, MN. Charles worked as a diesel mechanic and was employed at Fox Brothers from 1966 until his retirement. Charles served on the Sanborn Fire Department and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. He enjoyed working outdoors, mowing, spending time in his shop, and sitting on his deck enjoying nature. Charles also enjoyed traveling and attending Army reunions. Charles died on Friday, June 4, 2021, at his home in rural Sanborn, MN at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife - Marilyn; children - Carol (Joe) Bruggeman, Mike (Kari) Hensch, Dan (Teresa) Hensch, Jon (Becky) Hensch; grandchildren - Josh, Sarah, Aaron, Matthew, Ashley, Brandon, Zack, Lucas, Kylie, and Amber; great grandchildren - McKenna, Cal, and Watson; and a brother-in-law - Elmer Baune. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister - Evelyn (Don) Steve and Donna Baune; and parents-in-law - Leonard and Arline Wannarka. Memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
