Charles Wayne Gentsch

Charles W. Gentsch, age 33 of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota died on March 11, 2024. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye Chapel. Interment will be at New Ulm City Cemetery following the service. Lunch will follow at Open Bible Church in Sleepy Eye at 3:30 PM. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. Charles Wayne Gentsch, a.k.a. Chuck the Truck & Diesel Gentsch, was born to Carrie Bryer and Tommy Gentsch on December 6, 1990. He loved family, friends, music, movies, animal games and cards. He was a funny guy with a nice smile. He was 6.6 ft. tall and had a larger-than-life personality. He was always missing his daughter. And his last words were “Tell my daughter I love her.”

Charles is survived by his daughter, Morgan Dilayne Gentsch of Springfield; mother, Carrie Bryer of Sleepy Eye; grandparents, Mary Gieseke and Danny Marquardt of Sleepy Eye; long time, good friends, Tessa Ann Sedin and Dustin James Haney of Sleepy Eye; stepbrother, Tag Gentsch and stepsister, Brook (Gentsch) Nundley, Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Gentsch; grandparents, Claude Gentsch, Margie Bradburry, and Jr. Bryer.
