Cecelia Koenig

March 3, 1921 — May 28, 2005

Cecelia Elizabeth was born on March 3, 1921 in Watonwan County, MN the daughter of Henry Veronica (Scharbach) Tiedeken. She married Floyd C. Koenig on November 14, 1939 in Watonwan County, MN. The couple lived and farmed in Watonwan County until 1960. They moved to Mankato in 1968 where Cecelia worked as a waitress at Michael's and the Hamburger Haven. Floyd preceded her in death on August 13, 1974. Cecelia remained in Mankato until moving to St. James in 2001. She was a member of the St. James Catholic Church and the Eagles Auxiliary. She served in all chairs with the Eagles during her 36 years of membership. Cecelia loved to garden, play cards, quilt and dance to old time music. Survivors include her children, Russell F. Koenig of St. James, Jeanette M. Dexheimer of St. James and Michael C. wife Debbie Koenig of Houston, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a sister, Margaret Karau of Lewisville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Floyd, brothers and sisters, Casper Tiedeken, Freda Hohrman, Elizabeth Jensen, Annie Schmidt, Henry Tiedeken, Jr. and George Tiedeken.
