Cathy Ann Johns

Cathy Ann Johns, age 41, of Forest Lake, MN, formerly of Comfrey, MN, passed away on July 20, 2023, at her home.

Cathy Ann Johns was born November 7th, 1981 in Comfrey to Lyle and Meri Schumacher. She passed away at her home. Cathy’s beautiful eyes, infectious smile and incomparable laugh are only a few amazing qualities that all will remember. There were so many things she loved: spending time with family and friends, laughing and making people laugh, listening to all kinds of music, especially Alternative Rock (Panic! At the Disco), swimming, talking, the sun, the beach, and way more than can be put down in one paragraph. She worked hard at her job as an IT Manager for 16 years, always willing to dig in, problem solve and help guide her fellow co-workers. She made so many amazing friends during her life’s journey with so many strong connections. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.

She is survived by her son, Murphey Johns; her husband, DJ Johns; her dog, Punkie; her parents, Lyle and Meri Schumacher; her brother, Corey (Melissa) Schumacher; her nephew, Tristin Schumacher; her grandfather, Ernie (Jeanette) Karschnik; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Joyce Armstrong; and grandparents, Gerald and Alyce Schumacher.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Comfrey, MN. A Prayer service will be held at the St. Paul's Catholic Church in Comfrey, on Saturday, August 12, at 4:00 pm. The clergy will be Fr. Paul Schumacher.
