Catherine Kirschstein

Catherine Victoria Kirschstein was born November 11, 1918 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Kreitz) Raddatz. She attended country school in Brown County. Catherine married Ervin Kirschstein on May 4, 1938 at the United Methodist Parsonage in Springfield. The couple lived in Springfield, Cobden, Wabasso, and returned to Springfield in 1964. She worked at the Del Monte in Sleepy Eye for several years. Catherine was a member of the United Methodist Church and participated with the Ladies Groups. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, knitting, and music. Catherine died on Friday, October 14, 2005 at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN. She is survived by her sister-in-law - Grace Raddatz of Springfield; brother-in-law - Lester Brown of St. Paul, MN; nieces and nephews - Doug Raddatz and Darla Brown of Springfield, David and Nancy Raddatz of Redwood Falls, Donna and Danny Becker of New Ulm, Edward and Pat Brown of Hugo, Elizabeth Carrigan of Cosmos, Katherine Halverson of St. Paul, and Sue and Roger Brown of St. Paul. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother - Francis Whimpy Raddatz; and a sister - Josephine Brown.
