Carol J. Walden

Carol "Kite" was born on June 30, 1925 in Sleepy Eye, MN the daughter of Joseph and Hannah (Raverty) Fischer. After attending Sleepy Eye Public High School she married James Walden on March 1, 1943 in Medford, OR where Jim was stationed in the Army. Then the couple returned to Sleepy Eye and made their home here. She retired in 1987 from BF Goodrich in New Ulm. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cards and traveling. Going to the lake and family gatherings were her greatest joys. She is survived by her children, Vonnie (Lary) Roberts of Redwood Falls, Mike (Brenda) Walden of Sleepy Eye, Rosemary Walden of New Ulm and Patrick Walden of LaCrosse, WI, brother, Dean (Judy) Fischer of New Ulm, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and extended family members. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Jim in 1970, her parents and other family members.
