Carol Olson

Carol Lorene Wilson was born in Monterey, MN, on March 13, 1921, the daughter of William Agnes (Peterson) Wilson. Carol grew up in the Odin area. On June 7, 1942, she was united in marriage to Ray M. Olson. The couple made their home near Williams, IA from 1943 to 1951 when they moved to a farm in Nelson Township. Ray passed away in 1975. In 1983 she moved into St. James. Carol was a member of East Sveadahl Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and was active in WELCA. She was a member of the Godahl Kitchen Band, Extension Club, and drove Senior Transportation for several years. She enjoyed cross stitching pillow cases, making quilts, crocheting afghans, crossword puzzles, and reading. Carol loved being with her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children; Kathleen Moll of Monticello, Evonne (Ken) Moll of St. James, Todd W. (Linda) Olson of St. James, 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law; Phyllis Olson of Story City, IA, many nieces and nephews.
