Carol Minion

Carol Jean Elness, the daughter of Joy and Marie (Harrington) Elness was born on November 13, 1951, at the Windom Hospital in Windom, MN. She received her education at Windom public schools and graduated from the Windom High School. Carol was baptized and confirmed in Christian faith at the American Lutheran Church in Windom. On August 3, 1974, Carol was united in marriage to Robert W. Minion at the American Lutheran Church, and they made their home in Mountain Lake. Carol worked at Fingerhut andthe HiWay Cafe in Windom, and following their marriage, Carol worked at the Mountain Lake Hospital and then at the Good Samaritan Village for over 25 years. She enjoyed playing piano, word search puzzles, playing games, going for rides and being outside, and spending time visiting with friends and family. She especially loved participating in family events and the company of her dogs and cats. Carol died on Saturday morning, February 5, 2005, at the Windom Area Hospital at the age of 53 years, twomonths and 22 days. Carol is survived by her husband, Robert Minion of Mountain Lake, MN; her son, Jason Minion of Mountain Lake; a sister, Susan and her husband Thomas Jensen of St. James, MN; a brother, David and his wife Beverly Elness of Hutchinson, MN; a brother-in-law, Dan and his wife Deb Minion of Bingham Lake, MN; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Mark and Dennis Elness; and father and mother-in-law, Wes and Arsella Minion.
