Carol Ann Dick

Carol Ann Dick, age 97, of Mountain Lake, died on May 5, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society in Mountain Lake.

A memorial service will be held at the Sturm Funeral Home, Mountain Lake Chapel, on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 2:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Mountain Lake City Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Mountain Lake.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.

Carol was born December 20, 1926 to George and Elizabeth (Hiebert) Neufeld in Mountain Lake. She graduated from Mountain Lake High School in 1944 and continued her education at Mankato Teachers College. She graduated from Mankato State University receiving a Bachelor's of Arts degree in education. On August 24, 1948, Carol married Leonard Dick.

Together they raised two children, Sharon and Jay.

Carol was a master gardener, enjoyed being with people, music, and had a strong faith in Jesus.

Carol is survived by her children, Sharon (Abbas) Toosarvandani of Boynton Beach, Florida and Jay (Lucena) Allen of Spotsylania, Virginia; grandchildren, Maziar Toosarvandani, Sara (Jeff) Toosarvandani, Rafael (Olivia) Allen and Christopher Allen; and great-grandchildren, Grace, Darius, and Madelyn.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard in 2003; and brothers, Daniel (Darlene) Neufeld and Karl (Dorothy) Neufeld.
