Calvin Potter

Calvin Maynard Potter was born August 30, 1942, to Maynard and Mamie (Beyer) Potter in Springfield, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at the EUB Church in Lamberton and graduated from Lamberton High School in 1961. Calvin was united in marriage to LeDonna Bergjord on December 18, 1966, in Astoria, SD. The couple farmed and raised shorthorn cattle in Waterbury Township for many years. Calvin also sold Monsanto Seeds the past few years. He was a member of the Lamberton United Methodist Church and served on various committees. He also served on the Waterbury Township Board for several years and was a member of the Polled Shorthorn Cattlemen's Association. Calvin enjoyed trapshooting, hunting, and visiting with friends and neighbors. Calvin M. Potter died Thursday, January 25, 2007, surrounded by family at Seasons Hospice in Redwood Falls, MN at the age of 64 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Calvin is survived by his wife LeDonna of Lamberton; daughter - Lisa and husband Jeff Olin of Lynd,MN; son - Brad and wife Jessica Potter of North Mankato; grandchildren - Ella Potter and Daniel Olin; and many aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his parents; and infant sister - Jean Louise Potter.
