Bryan Lee Grunig, the son of Garland George and Meryls Mae (Wolle) Grunig was born on July 24, 1956 in Madelia, MN. He graduated from the Madelia High School. Bryan was united in marriage to Valerie Ann Anderson on June 14, 1980 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Madelia. Bryan was a self employed truck driver, he purchased his own semi truck in the late 1990's. He retired because of illness in 2008 and then later worked for Reihs Farms. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife, Valerie Grunig of Madelia; 2 children, Ryan Grunig (fiance Chelsea Rice) of Marshall and Kristen Grunig of Madelia; 3 grandchildren, Brielle Grunig of Madelia, Derek Gappa of Madelia and Ryleigh Grunig of Marshall; father, Garland Grunig of Madelia; siblings, Gayle (Darrell) Tangen of Savage, Gary (Jan) Grunig of Madelia, and Marlene Grunig of Thief River Falls; father-in-law, Norman Miller and mother-in-law, Sharon Miller of Greenbush; brothers-in-law, Gary Anderson of Brainerd and Greg (DeAnna) Anderson of Little Falls; sisters-in-law, Marva Jean Anderson of Duluth, Brenda (Al) Sather of Greenbush and Bonnie Kolden of Hibbing and many nieces and nephews.
