Brunelda Dahms

Brunelda Nellie Viola Dahms was born December 28, 1925 in Brookville Township, Brown County, the daughter of Otto and Lydia (Zarbock) Schulz. She attended Country School District #25. Nellie worked as a hired girl and in her early 20's she went to Minneapolis and worked as a waitress. After her marriage to Lee Dahms in 1946 the couple moved to her family farm. In 1955 they moved to Sanborn and in 2005 Nellie became a resident of St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN. Nellie was a member of the Legion Auxiliary, Ladies Aid, and Hobby Club. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, crafts, quilting, and spending time with her grandchildren. Nellie died on Friday, August 10, 2007 at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield at the age of 81 years. She is survived by her children - Linda (Bryon) Berndt of Echo, MN, LaVonne Reese of Sanborn, MN, Douglas (Kathy) Dahms of Redwood Falls, MN, and Donald Dahms of Parker's Prairie, MN; grandchildren - Jesse and Justin Reese, Tracie (Bob) Berg, Tamara (Joe) Brown, Yuri (Boni) Berndt, Cindy (Chad) Dallenbach, Christy Westfield, Tony (Jessica) Dahms, Angela (Jeff) Morris, Larry, Ann and Tom Dahms; great grandchildren - Theodore and Reese Berg, Julian Brown, Lauren, Linnea and Liam Berndt, Chelsie, Chase and Carlie Dallenbach, Alex Westfield, Austin and Kayla Morris, Gavin Dahms and Abligail Dahms; and sisters - Eldora (Nick) Burgraff of Cloquet, MN, Lucille Schultz of Redwood Falls, MN, Gladys (Francis) Jones of Springfield, MN, and Lorraine (James) Jacoby of Sanborn, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents - Otto and Lydia Schulz; brother-in-law - Walter Schultz; son-in-law - Steve Reese; and nephews - Leonard Schultz and Jack Jacoby.
