Bruce Eric Kipp

Bruce Eric Kipp, 72, of Springfield, MN died June 10th 2023. Bruce, son of Robert and Marion Kipp, loving husband of Bonnie Kipp, passed away on June 10th at the Oak Lawn Nursing home in Mankato, MN of natural causes due to congestive heart failure and lung disease.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie, three Brothers Robert, Scott and Steven and three children Erin, Mackenzie, Zachary (deceased), two grandchildren Samantha and Ryder and three stepchildren Nichole, Lindsey, and Travis. He is also survived by, six step-grandchildren, and two step-great grandchildren.

Bruce continued to serve his country by working for the U.S. government after his time in the U.S. Army until retirement in 2006. However, he participated as a Public Affairs Officer, with the South Dakota Civil Air Patrol, earning him the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Bruce loved learning reading, watching sci-fi shows, and conducting research on WWII documents, which led him to publish two books. Due to Bruce’s love of learning, he decided to go back to school, where he earned his doctorate in European History.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
