Bradly Thomas 'Abe' Nielsen

Bradly T. Nielsen age 54, of Madelia, Minnesota died on May 13, 2020, at Living Meadows at Luther in Madelia. A graveside service for immediate family only, will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Madelia. The clergy will be Fr Timothy Hall. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home, Pilgrim Chapel in Madelia. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com. Bradly Thomas "Abe" Nielsen was born on May 26, 1965 to Wayne and Kathleen (Duffy) Nielsen in Madelia, MN. He lived his entire life in Madelia and was a graduate of Madelia High School. Bradly enjoyed drawing, painting, wood working, playing pool in his pool league and welding. He loved the outdoors and spent much of his time fishing, hunting and walking though the woods. Above all, Bradly loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson. Bradly is survived by his father, Wayne Nielsen; special friend of more than 20 years, Amy Coners; daughter, Ashley Marquardt-Nielsen (Justin Backous); son, Cody Coners Nielsen; step-son, Tyler Coners; 1 grandchild, Jayden Cubbage all of Madelia; sister, Shannon (Scott) Hirsch of Yankton, SD; niece, Taylor Martinez-Hirsch of Rochester, MN, along with his special aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Nielsen; grandparents, Russell and Pauline Duffy, Martinus and Mabel Nielsen; beloved pets Candy, Stewie, Naji, Peanut and Brittle. The family would like to thank the Madelia Community Hospital, Mayo Clinic Health System, Home Health Nurses, Living Meadows at Luther and Hospice Staff.
