Bonnie Paulson

Bonnie Paulson, age 67, of St. James, died at her home on Friday, August 21, 2009 after a brave battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family. Bonnie Jean was born October 26, 1941 in Elysian, MN to Gordon and Bertha (McMurlyn) Wolters. Bonnie grew up in the Mankato, MN area where she met and married Duane Swede Paulson on October 24, 1959 at the Grace Baptist Church. Bonnie and Swede then moved to St. James where they raised their 4 children. Bonnie was an active member of the St. James Women's Eagles Auxiliary. She was a lifetime member of the Kato Cycle Club and a member of the St. James First Lutheran Church. Bonnie was a home maker and day care provider most of her life. Bonnie enjoyed reading, baking, watching the food channel, feeding and watching her birds, riding motorcycle and camping. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casinos whenever she had the opportunity. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is an amazing woman, the greatest daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that anyone could ever have. She will greatly be missed by all. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Swede; 1 son, Timothy (Susie) of Silver Bay, MN; 2 daughters, Tamra Olson and special friend, Sydney Bud Crapser of St. James, Lynette Kinnetz (Dennis) of St. James; Her Mother Bertha Wolters of St. James, Brothers, Gordon Wolters Jr (Janelle) of Mankato, Clete Wolters of St. James, Steve Wolters (Mary Lou) of Madison Lake, Jerry Wolters (Pam) of Lake Crystal, David Wolters (Shawn) of Mankato, Doug Wolters (Rhonda) of Mankato, Rodney Wolters (Cindy) of St. James, Brian Wolters of St. James and Donald Wolters of Mankato; Sister Shelly Miller and Dan Miller of St. James; Brothers-in-law Eldred Paulson (Eileen) of Milaca, MN, Phillip Paulson (Marvel) of Clear Lake, MN, Sisters-in-law Marlene Angell of Big Lake, MN and Karen Paulson of Madison Lake, MN; 9 Grandchildren,11 Great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by her son Terry D. Paulson; Father Gordon Wolters, sister Becky in infancy, Father and Mother-in-law Theodore and Lillian Paulson, Brothers-in-law Lorenzo Paulson, Marlow Paulson, JerRay Paulson and Vernon Paulson.
