Bonnie Curry died on Monday, July 25, 2011 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato. A Christian Mothers Rosary will be recited at 4:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Bonnie Mae Curry was born June 7, 1933, at Butterfield, MN, the daughter of James R. and Dorothia (Dougherty) Curry. She grew up in Butterfield until age 7, when her mother died, and she was sent to the orphanage at Wabasha, where she lived for several years. Shen then returned to St. James and attended Catholic School until the 8th grade. Bonnie worked at the St. James Hospital until it closed then worked at Tony Down Foods for 46 years prior to her retirement in 2008. Bonnie enjoyed bingo, word search, and puzzles. She like to watch baseball and football games on tv. She loved spending time with family and friends and taking care of her two dogs Bailey and Buffy. Bonnie is survived by 2 sisters, Loriaine Mulso of Sherburn, Dutchie Sandmeyer of St. James, a brother, Stan Curry of Mason City, IA, 2 nieces, Gloria (Bill) Thulien of St. James, Pam (Stan) Nelson of Butterfield, 3 nephews, Clayton (Andrea) Warling of Memphis, TN, Steve (Lori) Sandmeyer of St. James, Tom (Deb) Curry of California, great-nephew Joe Thulien of St. James and Bailey and Buffy. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Lawrence Keith, sister, Evelyn, 3 brothers-in-law, Virgil, Arthur and Enard.
