Blanche Olive Hutchinson

Blanche Olive (Voigt) Hutchinson was born March 5, 1919 near Fenton, Iowa to Charles and Kate Voigt. On April 20, 1939 Blanche was united in marriage to Fred Hutchinson in Terrel, Iowa. They made their home on a farm near Terril, Iowa until 1949 when they moved to a farm near Revere, Minnesota. Fred retired and they moved to the Valley View Apartments in Lamberton, MN. Blanche enjoyed her family and often took long walks and played many games with her children and grandchildren. She loved to read and crochet making afghans, bed spreads and table cloths as well as many doilies, most of which were given away. She loved babies and little children and spent time with them whenever she could. She worked in the Kindergarten room in the Lamberton school and thoroughly enjoyed being with the kids. She also worked with the elderly in the nursing home in Revere. Blanche has lived at Valley View Manor in Lamberton, MN since 2012 and was taken to her forever home on January 22, 2016. She is survived by daughter Winifred Churchill and husband Chester of Lamberton, MN, son Harold Hutchinson and wife Marie of Revere, MN, grandchildren Barb Churchill, Steve Churchill, Marg Smith, Dan Churchill, Kathy Fenger, Tom Hutchinson, Mariah Fustus and Ryan Sykora, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and sisters-in-law Arlene Voigt and Eunice Voigt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, daughters Kathleen Kay, Delores Hutchinson and Mary Sykora, son, Wayne Hutchinson, 3 sisters and 6 brothers.
