Beverly Gail "Bev" Thurston

Beverly Gail (Butson) Thurston was born on June 21, 1938 to Rodney and Gertrude Butson in Mankato, MN. She married Keith Thurston at the Garden City Christian Church on March 21, 1959. The couple raised their 5 children on the family farm in rural Madelia.

Bev was a loving mother and an active farm wife. She took a lead role organizing and hosting family hog sales, was active in the Blue Earth County Porkettes, was a 4H leader, was active in her church and sang in the church choir. Bev was Director of Lawn Maintenance at the farm and loved tending to her garden. She also loved spending time with and taking care of her grandchildren.

Beverly Gail "Bev" Thurston age 84, of Madelia, MN, died on October 23, 2022, at Living Meadows at Luther in Madelia.

Bev is survived by her husband, Keith Thurston; children, Tony (Lisa) Thurston, Tammi (Michael) Ferch, Tracy (Brenda) Thurston, Kevin (Carrie) Thurston; grandchildren, Erin (Matt) Terres, Ryan (Brittni) Ferch, Libby (Mitchell) Berg, Emma (Zach) Askeland, Darrin, Makenna and Shaye Thurston; six great grandchildren; sister, Jackie (Dave) Jones, and many nieces and nephews. Bev was preceded in death by her parents, Rodney and Gertrude; son, Cory Thurston and grandson, Brett Thurston.
