Beverly Olson

Beverly (BJ) Olson, age 67, of Butterfield, MN, died at her home on Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Beverly Jean BJ Miller was born on June 14, 1942 in Jackson County, MN, to parents Merle and Marge (McMoran) Miller. She grew up in the Jackson area where she graduated from Jackson High School in 1960. BJ then attended nursing school in Rochester. She married Robert Adams on August 5, 1961, the marriage ended in divorce in 1975. She met Ronald Olson in 1979 and the couple wed on November 5, 1984. They made their home in Butterfield. BJ worked as a waitress and bartender for several years in Worthington and St. James. She then went to work as a reporter for several local newspapers. BJ enjoyed reading, playing pool, fishing, taking pictures, playing scrabble and other board games with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Butterfield VFW Auxillary and the St. James Eagles Club. She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Lynn Marie Adams. She is survived by her husband Ronald Olson of Butterfield, sons; James Adams and special friend Jan Koeneke of Ft. Watson Beach, FL, Jeffrey (Geraldine) Adams of Olivia, daughter; Julie (Julio) Rodriguez of St. James, step-daughter Tanya (Kevin) Jones of St. James, 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brother; Kenneth Miller of CA, and her faithful dog Daisy Mae.
