Beverly Hennager

Beverly Ann Hennager was born October 4, 1938, in Madelia, MN the youngest of 7 daughters of Edward and Vica (Sink) Jacobe. She attended country school and graduated from Madelia High School in 1956 before attending the University of Minnesota. Beverly was united in marriage to Thomas Hennager on September 17, 1966. In addition to Tom's three children from a previous marriage, their union was blessed with three more children. Tom and Bev spent the majority of their lives working and farming around the Madelia area. Bev was active for over 25 years as a 4-H leader. After her marriage she became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was busy throughout her lifetime with various activities and committees at the church, as well in the community of Madelia. Following an earlier career in banking, Bev then devoted herself to farm life and raising her family. She was a custodian at the medical clinic before sharing her lifelong passion for reading by working for several years at the Watonwan County library system in both Madelia and Lewisville. Bev enjoyed traveling and loved animals, farm life, and especially loved her children and grandchildren. Beverly Hennager passed away peacefully at home October 27, 2011, after a long battle with cancer at the age of 73 years. Bev is survived by husband Thomas of Madelia; children- Guy (Joyce) Hennager of Jordan, Steve (Wendy) Hennager of Lake Crystal, Barbara (Larry) McMullen of Lewisville, Vicki Dykhoff of Little Canada, Mike (Kari) Hennager of Mankato, and Kelly Hennager and fiance' Jay Black of Madelia; 7 grandsons; 1 great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters- Bernice Ellingsberg, Lucille Wilde, Arlene Stevenson, Velma Randall, Gladys Torgerson, and Betty Brand.
