Beulah Rempel

Beulah Ruth McDonald, the daughter of Roy Eugene and Mamie (St. John) McDonald was born on March 17, 1926, in Kimball Township, Jackson County, MN. She graduated from the Mountain Lake High School in 1944. On August 19, 1950, Beulah was united in marriage to Dietrich Duke Rempel. They made their home in Mountain Lake, where Beulah worked for many businesses including the Clinic Pharmacy, the Mountain Lake Elevator and the City of Mountain Lake. Duke died on December 22, 1986. She enjoyedreading, gardening, taking day trips and coffee with her family and friends. Beulah volunteered at the Care and Share in Mountain Lake and was alway willing to help others with their needs. Beulah died on Friday, November 11, 2005, at the Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Beulah is survived by two daughters, JoAnn Rempel of Mountain Lake, MN and Shirley Rempel of Worthington, MN; a son, Douglas and his wife Jenna Rempel of Billings, MT; two grandchildren, Tamara Kennington and Robert Larson; seven great grandchildren; seven sisters, Lola and her husband Owen Quiggle of Fairmont, MN, Lois Klassen of Mountain Lake, MN, Alice and her husband Walt Holmquist of St. Louis Park, MN, Mary Jo Duerksen of Mountain Lake, MN, Jean and her husband Jerry Engeman of Sioux Falls, SD,Evelyn and her husband Ray Gibbs of Dodge Center, MN, and Sandra and her husband Conrad Olmstead of Minnetonka, MN; three brothers, Robert and his wife Glennys McDonald of Holland, TX, William McDonald of Concord, CA, and Stanley and his wife Sharyn McDonald of Savage, MN; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dietrich Duke Rempel; a grandson, Scott Rempel; a brother in infancy, Duane McDonald; and two brothers-in-law, Raymond Duerksen and MelvinKlassen.
