Betty Seavert, age 76, of New Ulm and originally Butterfield, died on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at her home in Buffalo, MN. Betty Jean Seavert , Daughter of Louis H. Seavert and Elsie Becker Seavert was born March 13th l932 at home near Butterfield, Minnesota. She was baptized at St. Mathews Lutheran Church in Butterfield. She was a member of Oakwood Methodist Church,in New Ulm. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Sister Arleen Seavert Schumacher, and Brother W. Allen Seavert. She is survived by one sister, Wilma Seavert Clausen, West Union, Iowa, four nieces, Mary(Richard)Berg Clements, Minnesota, Lynne (Steve) Eberlein, Maple Grove, Minnesota, Julie Clausen(Ron Peters), Prior Lake, Minnesota, Jo Anne (John) Glasgow) Marshall, Minnesota, three nephews, Neal(Ann)Clausen, Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, James (Amy) Clausen, West Union, Iowa, Richard(Karen) Seavert, Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Betty made many friends at various places she lived during her life journey. She had loving caregivers who gave her much care . Her family is very grateful for the care she received through most of her adult life. Most especially we wish to thank her friends at MBW where she spent many years and also those at Buffalo where she lived this past year. Also, the love she received from her church home where she made many friends. She had two special friends named Doris and Marlys that she shared many happy times with. Betty liked baking cookies and shared them with many different people. She enjoyed babies and spent many hours at the daycare holding those beautiful babies.(As a child she was able to enjoy all her nieces and nephews when they were babies.)She also enjoyed hours at Sunset House doing excercises with the folks there.
