Betty Oeltjenbruns

Betty Jean Oeltjenbruns was born October 16, 1931 in Comfrey, MN, the daughter of Leonard and Marie (Grunig) Stelzer. She was united in marriage to Edgar Oeltjenbruns on June 8, 1956 in Butterfield, MN. Betty worked at Tony Downs Foods for many years and then babysat for some of the local kids after that. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Butterfield and enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, baking and embroidery. Betty also enjoyed word finds, her dogs, spending time with her family and friends, and especially enjoyed being with her new grandson J.P. Betty Jean Oeltjenbruns died Sunday, February 13, 2005 at Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center in St. James at the age of 73 years. Survivors include husband- Edgar of St. James; children- Suzie and husband Joel Kral of New Ulm, and Mike and wife Debbie Oeltjenbruns of St. James; grandson- J.P. Oeltjenbruns; brother-in-law- Edwin 'Hi' Oeltjenbruns of Brewster, WA; and nieces and nephews- Joe and Sue Stelzer of Moran, MI, Diane and Gregg Peterson of St. Ignace, MI, Debbie and Chuck Huffman of Moran, MI, Joan and Dean Paulson of Northfield, MN, Robert and Bonnie Stevens of Ohio, Duane and Diana of Nevada, and Les and Delores of New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother- Leland; twin brother- Donald 'Doc'; sisters-in-law- Beatrice Stelzer and Esther Stevens; and brother-in-law- Paul Stevens.
