Bethel Heiderscheit

Bethel Marie Heiderscheit was born on October 16, 1942 in Springfield, MN, the daughter of Frank and Hannah (Pfarr) Matter. She attended country school and graduated from Springfield Public School. She attended nursing school in Minneapolis, MN and later worked in Springfield for Doctor Tessien. She was united in marriage to David Heiderscheit on June 20, 1964 at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield, but later divorced. They farmed west of Morgan where she raised her children. Bethel moved to the Willmar area in the 1980's. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Morgan, MN. Bethel enjoyed crocheting, gardening, canning, baking, visiting and talking with her friends, but most of all, she enjoyed time with her grandchildren. She was excited about becoming a great grandmother in the near future. Bethel died on Monday, November 28, 2011 at the Bethesda Health Care Center in Willmar, MN at the age of 69 years. She is survived by her children - Diane Heiderscheit of New Ulm, MN, Denise and husband John Jensen of Salina, KS, and Darla Heiderscheit and her fianc Chad Wallert of Olivia, MN; 9 grandchildren; siblings - Janelle Matter of Springfield, MN, Joyce Ourada of Redwood Falls, MN, Kathy and husband Jeff Baune of Vesta, MN, Monica and husband Dean Stenzel of Heron Lake, MN, Frank Buddy and wife Arlene Matter of New Ulm, MN, and Paulette and husband John Haag of Bemidji, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents; an infant child; her ex-husband - David and two brothers - Steven and James Matter.
