Bertha Wolters

Bertha Wolters, age 87, of St. James died on Monday, July 5, 2010 at the St. James Medical Center in St. James. Bertha Loretta McMurlyn was born October 21, 1922 at Dunseith, ND, the daughter of Alex Dubois and Myrtle McMurlyn. She married Gordon Wolter and they later divorced. She graduated nursing school in 1972 and worked as an LPN at Mankato House for many years and the Good Samaritan Center prior to her retirement. She loved going to the casino, crossword puzzles, stitching, her cat and dog and spending time with her family, grandkids and great grandkids. She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, 5 brothers, 2 daughter Bonnie Paulson and Becky Wolters, a grandson and 3 great-grandchildren. Bertha is survived by her children Gordy (Janell) Wolters of Mankato, Clete Wolters of St. James, Rodney (Cindy) Wolters of St. James, Steve (Mary Lou) Wolters of Madison Lake, Jerry (Pam) Wolters of Lake Crystal, David (Shawn) Wolters of Mankato, Doug (Rhonda) Wolters of Mankato, Shelly (Dan) Miller of St. James, Brian Wolters of St. James, Donald Wolters of Mankato, son-in-law Swede Paulson of St. James, sisters Katherine Rayle of Genevia, IL, and Minne Milbrath of Elysian, 40 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
