Bertha 'Berdy Goltz

Bertha 'Berdy' Goltz, age 90 of Comfrey, died Monday, July 30, 2007, at the Mountain Lake Good Samaritan Village. Bertha Goltz was born November 28, 1916, in Mountain Lake, MN, the daughter of Gottfried and Katherine (Stienly) Feil. She was baptized on January 7, 1917, and confirmed on June 19, 1932, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Mountain Lake. Berdy was united in marriage to William Goltz on October 5, 1939, at Trinity Lutheran Church. She was an active member of Ladies Aid and the Sewing Committee for many years. Berdy enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, and visiting her children and grandchildren. Bertha 'Berdy' Goltz died Tuesday, July 30, 2007, at the Mountain Lake Good Samaritan Village at the age of 90 years. She is survived by sons- Thomas and wife Sharon Goltz of Maple Grove, MN, and Richard and wife Ranae Goltz of Blaine, MN; grandchildren- Jon and wife Sarah Goltz, Jodi (Rosen) and husband Jean-Paul Boisjolie, Heather and husband Russ Rothenberger, Mike and wife Lindsey Goltz, and Amy and husband Nick Sivertsen Goltz; great-grandchildren- Blake Rosen, Brittany Rosen, Ashley Rosen, Madison Goltz, Sydney Goltz, Carter Goltz, Bennett Goltz, Lydia Rothenberger, Brianna Goltz, Tommy Rothenberger, and Anthony Goltz; sister- Anne Hansen; and brother-in-law- Iver Goltz. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband- William in 1998; brothers- Dave, Henry, Gottfried, and Frederick; and sister- Mary.
