Bernice 'Berni' Schultz, age 72, of Mountain Lake, died on Monday, December 20, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. Visitation will be Saturday, April 9, 2022, from 2-4pm at Sturm Funeral Home in Mountain lake, MN. Bernice Marcelyn Schultz was born on June 22, 1949 the daughter of Myrtle Schultz (Fast) and Abe Schultz. Bernice grew up on a farm near Delft, MN.She asked Jesus to be her Savior in Vacation Bible School, she was baptized at the EMB Church in Mt. Lake (now, Cornerstone Church). She graduated from the Mountain Lake High School in 1967, went on to Grace Bible Institute for a year she then moved back to Mountain Lake to help her grandparents, in 1970, she studied Business and Office Education at Jackson Vo-Tech, and Medical Secretary training in Omaha. She lived and worked in Omaha, California, and Hawaii, Tennessee and back to her favorite State of Hawaii where she worked at Castle Medical Center as a unit secretary until she retired. She was very active in the Kailua Community Church playing piano, keyboard and Sunday School teacher. She moved back to Mountain Lake in July 2021, to be closer to her family. They made some great memories with her during this short time. She was even looking forward to the first snow, from inside of course. Bernice loved to crochet baby blankets for her friends, work on jigsaw puzzles, watching the Vikings play and she loved to travel. She is survived by her siblings; Delmar (Carol) Schultz of Mt. Lake, Wilmar (Paulette) Schultz of Apopka, FL, Marilyn (Larry) Penner of Bingham Lake, MN, David (Debbie) Schultz of Lennox, SD a sister-in-law Cindy Schultz of Wilber, NE, many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Homar Schultz. Visitation 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Saturday, April 9, 2022 Sturm Funeral Home, Mountain Lake Chapel 420 - 10th St. N.
