Beatrice is survived by nine children: Cathryn and husband Alfred Liebl of Lake Crystal, Bob Weber and wife Colleen of New Ulm, Doris Weber of Springfield, Ralph Weber and wife Judi of rural Sanborn, Audrey and husband Mike Wagner of Sleepy Eye, Arlene and husband Ed Nelsen of Clements, Larry Weber and wife Marg of Sanborn, Judy and husband Dave Lipetzky of Springfield, and Dan Weber and wife Linda of Wanda; 40 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Ida Eichten of Springfield and Leona Jenniges of Mendota Heights. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius; an infant son, Richard; infant granddaughters Jenny Lipetzky and baby girl Nelsen; grandson, Michael Weber; and brothers, Clarence, Edmund, Harold, Ambrose, Lawrence, Jack and Cyril. Beatrice Lorraine Marie Steffensmeier was born March 28, 1915, to John and Catherine (Roeckers) Steffensmeier, at Morgan. She attended school in Morgan. She married Julius Weber on Nov. 13, 1934, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Morgan. They farmed in Burnstown Township south of Springfield for five years and then purchased a farm in Willow Lake Township near Wanda where they farmed and raised their family. They built a new home in Springfield and moved there in August 1992. Julius died Jan. 4, 2001. Beatrice lived independently in her home until 17 months ago when she took residency at St. John Home. Beatrice's focus in life was her faith, family and home. Her career was raising a large family and housekeeping. Cooking and baking had an important place in her daily schedules, and she enjoyed trying new recipes as well as cooking traditional foods. She was a skilled seamstress and sewed many dresses for her daughters as they grew up. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and won many blue and purple ribbons for her handiwork. She loved old time music, games of cards and flowers, gardening and houseplants. She was a member of St. Mathias Parish while living at Wanda, and St. Raphael Parish in Springfield, the Council of Catholic Women, and Catholic Order of Foresters.
