Barb was born on November 28,1929 in St. James, Minnesota, the daughter of James F. and Barbara (Andert) Klaras. She attended school in St. James and graduated in 1948. She was married to Jack Gosen on February 19, 1949. She served as Crow Wing County Civil Defense Director in the 1960's. That led to positions with the Minnesota Department of Emergency Services. After obtaining a Masters Degree from Michigan State University, she worked for the Federal Government where she helped plan evacuation routes for the states of Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. After leaving government service she served in the motel industry with her husband in Arizona and other southern states. After retirement they lived in Phoenix, Arizona, Mountain Lake, and then Minnesota Lake, Minnesota where Jack died in 2000. Barb then moved to Tucson, Arizona where she lived the remainder of her life. Barb is survived by children Jim (Rhonda) Gosen, West St. Paul; Greg (Karen) Gosen of Albert Lea, Minnesota; Charles (Patty) Gosen, Acworth, Georgia; and Judy Baker, Tucson, Arizona. Grandchildren Charles "Buck" Gosen of Brainerd, Tanya (Nathan) Hallgren of Duluth, and Nick Gosen of Albert Lea. Great-grandchildren Ethan, Ian and Taylor Hallgren. Sisters Ramona Posch of St. James and Elizabeth (Don) Trusty of Fort Ripley, Mn. Brothers John (Joyce) Klaras Seneca, South Carolina and Jerry (Betty) Klaras of Hoyte Lakes, Mn. Sisters-in-law Gertie Klaras of Webster, Mn, Darlene Klaras of Elgin, Illinois, and Lila Klaras of Gilbert, Mn., and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, parents James and Barbara, brothers Jim, Dick, and Robert. Brother-in-law John Posch and grandson Jericho James "JJ" Baker.
