Barbara Eischen

Barbara Ann Eischen was born on February 28th 1951, at the Comfrey Hospital to A.J. and Delores Eischen. Barb spent her first eight years growing up enjoying life on the farm. She was first enrolled at Vasa Lutheran Home in Red Wing. At the age of ten she moved to the State School at Faribault , MN followed by the St. Peter Regional Center. In 1976, she was selected to be part of a pilot project where young adults would live together in group home settings. Barb first lived at the Assisi House in Blue Earth, MN. Her most recent home was in Winnebago, MN where she lived and was loved for the past 16 years. Barb loved her family friends. She enjoyed shopping, movies, eating out, dancing music and pumpkin pie. She loved animals and babies. Barb was employed at STEP Inc. in Blue Earth where she enjoyed weaving rugs and having coffee breaks with her friends. Barbara Ann Eischen, age 55, formerly of Comfrey, died Monday, July 10, 2006, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Barb is survived by her mom, Lorrie; siblings, Peg Paul, Kurt Jo Ann, Linda Jim, Joan Mark, Becky Steve, Teresa Kevin, Roxane Doug, and Amy Kevin; nieces and nephews, Megen, Paula Abby, Leah, Matt, Erin, Russ, Dan Laura, Angie, Christine Tim, Alex Jake, Savannah Ryan, Anna, Sarah, Michael Emma; aunts and uncles, Bernard Lucille Eischen, Billy Evelyn Eischen, Betty Roman Zwaschka, Elaine Vern Rutlen; and many cousins. She also leaves her family and staff at her home in Winnebago. Barb was preceded in death by her father Wishy, as well as grandparents and many aunts and uncles. Memorial are preferred to STEP Inc. of Blue Earth
