Bailey was born on July 27, 2011, at 26 weeks, to Martin and Julia (Smith) Jimenez in Rochester, Minnesota. Despite being born at 1lb 5oz, Bailey's fighting spirit and determination inspired all who knew her. She spent the first 4 months of her life at the NICU in Rochester, where she began her journey of defying odds and touching hearts. Bailey was a true fighter.
Bailey was a bright light at Saint Paul's Lutheran school, where she was currently attending 7th grade. Her love for life, family, and friends was contagious, and her bond with her parents and grandparents was truly special. She enjoyed watching the newest Disney movies with anyone who would partake especially her sister and cousins. Playing Minecraft with her cousin Nevaeh was always a fan favorite. Bailey's personality was larger than life and the spark that lived inside her always managed to spread to those around her. Though her time on earth was short, Bailey's impact on those who knew her will be felt for generations to come.
Bailey is survived by her parents, Julia and Martin Jimenez; siblings, Bella and Jose; grandparents, Leon Smith, Tammy Knaak, Jose and Ma Salome Jimenez, Albert Knaak, and Corrine and Floyd Green; uncles and aunts, Jose Raul Jimenez, Maria Jimenez, Marta Jimenez, Jose Noe Jimenez, Jose Luis Jimenez, Jessica (Harlan) Green, Jeanne (Bradly) Green, Joseph Trebesch, Jessica Trevino; and many cousins and friends.
