Audria Edith Link was born December 12, 1930, in Faribault, MN, the daughter of Aaron J. and Edith (Adrain) Link. At age 14, Audria surrendered her life to the Lord Jesus Christ, and for the rest of her life spent daily time with the Lord. Audria went to school in Odessa and Lamberton, graduating in the class of 1948 from Lamberton Public School. She graduated from Saint Lucas Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in 1951 and then on September 1, 1982 she received her Bachelor of Science in Professional Arts from Saint Joseph's College, Standish, Maine. Audria was united in marriage to Arlowe Engen on May 22, 1954, at the E.U.B. Church in Lamberton. Audria was a compassionate and caring registered nurse working for a short-time in Seattle, as well as Rice Memorial Hospital, Willmar, MN, Union Hospital, New Ulm, MN, Redwood Falls Hospital, Lamberton Public School, and as Charge Nurse and Director of Nurses at Valley View Manor, Lamberton, MN. Audria was a member of Highwater Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School, and participated in Sewing Circle and Ladies Aid. She loved her family and knew how to make each one feel special. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, china painting, quilting, wintering in Mesa, AZ, and baking long johns for her family. She had a great faith in the Lord and made sure that her family knew how to trust Christ with their lives, and she was a prayer warrior. Audria Engen died Saturday, November 3, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Those who shared their life with Audria and mourn her passing include children - Karen Rich Hubert of San Carlos, Mexico, David Connie Engen of Revere, Keith Sandy Engen of Lamberton and Kenov Beth Engen of Lamberton; grandchildren - Matt Marsha Hubert, Dan Melissa Hubert, Liz Nate Brennan, Justin, Clint Chelsi, Kirk, Ashley Todd Henry, Mark, Britta, Emily, Thea, Andrew, Fern, Hannah, Luke and Avery Engen; great grandchildren - Tyler, Brooke, Kailey, Zach Allie Hubert, Brandt, Payton, Morgan Carson Hubert, Ava Ella Brennan; sister-in-law Muriel Link, Windom, MN, brother-in-law- James LuEtta Engen of Lamberton, sister-in-law - Joyce Fisher of Littleton, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; grandson - Caleb Engen; her brothers - Darol Aaron Link, her sister - Irene Anderson and brother-in-law - George Fisher, Jr. First Visitation 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 6, 2012 Sturm Funeral Home, Lamberton 502 S.
