Audrey Marie Zender

Audrey Zender passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the Emerald Crest of Shakopee in Shakopee, MN. Audrey Marie Keim was born on December 2, 1921 in Currie, Minnesota, the daughter of August and Leata (Connors) Keim. Audrey grew up in St. James, she attended St. James Catholic School and in 1939 graduated from St. James High School. She went to work in Dr Bregels office and at the Forester Furniture Store. On February 21, 1944, she was united in marriage to Clem Zender. The couple had two sons Mike and Dennis. Audrey became a work at home mother raising her family. She was active in many church activities; Catholic Order of Foresters, Christian Mothers and WCCW (where she received the Bishops Medal), she also enjoyed crazy eight club, bridge club, the St. James Garden Club and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Audrey is survived by her sons- Michael R. Zender (Cherryl Lofgren) of Edina, Dennis (Lucy) Zender of Hastings, 5 grandchildren- Alex, Joe, Emily, Sarah and Laura, 10 great-grandchildren- James, Lane, Luke, Zach, Josh, Ella, Cole, Emmett, Mary and Grace.
