Audrey Kamolz

Audrey Marie Kamolz was born September 1, 1925 in Walnut Grove, MN, the daughter of Charles and Ella (Krueger) Schneider. She graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1943 and then attended the Minneapolis School of Business. Audrey married Vincent Kamolz on April 6, 1946 in Walnut Grove. She worked for an insurance company in Minneapolis, the Veterans Administration in St. Paul and was a secretary at the Comfrey Public School. Audrey was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church in Comfrey and a 15 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #244. She enjoyed being with her family, reading, flowers from Vincent's garden, bird watching, playing cards with friends, and doing book puzzles. Audrey died on Saturday, May 14, 2005 at her home in Comfrey at the age of 79 years. She is survived by her husband - Vincent of Comfrey; children - Cheryl and her husband Larry Helgeson of Austin, MN, David Kamolz of Comfrey, MN, and Dean Kamolz of St. James, MN; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law - Agnes and husband Sylvester Schultz of Morgan, MN, Elva Elg of Springfield, MN, and Louise Kamolz of Woodward, OK; and a brother-in-law - Ted and wife Cathy Arndt. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother - Harlowe; and a sister - Cleo and her husband Don Zieske.
