Arthur Allan 'Art' Anderson

August 11, 1957 — October 11, 2015

Arthur 'Art' Allan Anderson was born August 11, 1957, in Springfield, MN to Albert and Etta (Best) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed and was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Springfield. Art graduated from Springfield High School then attended Minnesota West in Jackson where he studied to be an HVAC technician. Art was active in 4-H, FFA, and the Cub Scouts where he loved making and racing Pinewood Derby cars. He was united in marriage to Brenda Dammann on August 9, 1980, at St. John Lutheran Church. Art enjoyed bowling as a member on the Tuesday Night Farmers League, helping with field work for area farmers, repairing, fixing, and troubleshooting. He also enjoyed camping, boating, grilling, chopping and splitting wood, and fireworks at the July 4th parties. He loved singing karaoke, and especially loved spending time with his boys with racing, go-carts, demolition cars, and their bomber cars. Art had worked for Klassen Plumbing and Heating, and L.A. Plumbing and Heating for many years but was also a farmer, heavy equipment operator, plumber, truck driver, and HVAC technician. He is survived by wife Brenda of Springfield; and sons- Paul Anderson and significant other Sami Schueler of Springfield, Terry and wife Meghan Anderson of Delano, and Wade Anderson and significant other Whitney Hillesheim of Mankato. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Etta Anderson; and brother Albert William Anderson.
