Arline Dauer

Arline Clara Dauer was born on October 13, 1920 in Sleepy Eye, the daughter of Jacob and Katie (Bruckbauer) Fischer. Arline was united in marriage to Fred Dauer on October 6, 1948 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. The couple lived near Searles, MN and moved to rural Springfield in 1959 where they raised 5 children. Arline was a former member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Clements and a current member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield. She was a 24 year cancer survivor. Arline was a very well read and caring person who always thought of others over herself. She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, gardening, flowers, but most of all, she enjoyed her family. Spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was precious to Arline. Arline died on Monday, March 14, 2011 at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield at the age of 90 years. She is survived by her husband - Fred Dauer, Sr. of Springfield; children - Fred Jr. (Karen) Dauer of Morgan, Richard (Barb) Dauer of Springfield; Katie Dauer (John Olcott) of St. Paul, Duane (Patricia) Dauer of Springfield and Eileen (Ron) Johnson of Thousand Oaks, CA; 19 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters - Eleanor Fischer and Frieda Fischer; a brother - Elmer Fischer; and a niece - Gloria Fischer.
