Arlene Rae Harvey

Arlene Rae (Meling) Harvey was born November 15, 1927, in Revere, MN to Henry and Susie (Good) Buterbaugh. She was united in marriage to Truman Meling on March 1, 1946 in Revere. Following Truman's death, Arlene later married Kenneth Harvey on June 25, 2000, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton. Arlene lived on a farm north of Revere until 1993 when she moved to Lamberton. She wintered in Yuma, AZ for many years and moved to Sioux Falls, SD in October of 2010. Arlene enjoyed sewing, quilting and playing cards with friends. She also enjoyed stamping cards, crocheting, baking, Wii bowling and any craft projects. Arlene (Meling) Harvey died Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 89. She is survived by her children- Brian (Cindy) Meling of Lake Wilson, Cindy (Ron) Kolar of Sioux Falls, and Jill (John) Rykhus of Oak Grove; grandchildren- Shaun (Tricia) Meling, Thomas Meling, Brady (Kim) Kolar, Austin (Devin) Kolar, Jenna (Tony) Correa, and Jamie (fiance' Brandon) Rykhus; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-great-grandchildren; brother Russell (Evelyn) Buterbaugh of Tracy; and sister Marita Reed of Lake Suzy, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Susie Buterbaugh; husbands- Truman Meling and Kenneth Harvey; brother Loren Buterbaugh; and sisters- Dorothy Sandbo, Glenace Pixler, and Opal Larsen.
