Arlene Carter

Arlene Carter was born on August 3, 1929, to Dennis and Edith (Hagerman) Amsden in Cottonwood County. She graduated from Comfrey High School. On June 29, 1948, Arlene was united in marriage to Donald Carter. Don and Arlene enjoyed spending time together especially on their family farm in Cottonwood County. She a member of Jeffers Baptist Church where she was baptized. Family meant everything to Arlene, and she especially loved time with her grandchildren. Arlene enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and baking, camping, playing cards, and helping on the farm. Arlene died on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, at the age of 92. She is survived by her daughter - Diane (Marlin) Olson of Comfrey; daughter-in-law Patricia Carter of San Angelo, TX; grandchildren - Kristen Lorenzen (Todd Bushard), Scott Olson, Megan Olson (Tim Wilbur), Zachary Carter, and Emily (Aaron) Walter; great grandchildren - Alexis, Brooke, Bentley, and Carter; and great grandchild - Mia. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, son Rodney, grandchild Ty Carter, and siblings - Mervin Amsden, Stanley Amsden, Bonnie Bottin, and Ardyce Miller.
