Arlen Lynn Maloney

Arlen Lynn Maloney, age 70, of Madelia, MN died on September 18, 2024, at his home.

Arlen was born on May 7, 1954, to Ronald and Margie (Hamilton) Maloney. He graduated from Madelia High School in 1972. On October 20, 1974, he married Joy Brummund. Together they raised two sons, Matthew and Russell. Arlen took over his father’s motor shop business and rebranded it as Maloney Enterprises which also included golf cart sales and repair, electric scooter sales and repair and 24 hour towing. He retired in 2020. In his free time, Arlen was best known for his love of children. He held pizza parties, painted pumpkins, and especially loved playing Santa Claus for the children at Christmas time.

Arlen is survived by his wife, Joy Maloney; sons, Matthew (Christi) and Russell Maloney; grandchildren, Grace, Abby, Parker, and Julia; and brother, Allen. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Karen; and grandson, Grant.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madelia. A private interment will be at The Columbarium at Hosanna in Lakeville, MN at a later date. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in Madelia.
