Arlen John 'Arlie' Klaassen

Arlie Klaassen, age 65 of Rushmore, MN., passed away Sunday morning, November 22, 2020 at Sanford Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD. Graveside service will be held Monday, November 30, 2020 at 1:30pm at Riverside Cemetery, Madelia, MN and is open to the public. Due to Covid 19, social distancing will be in place. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Mtn. Lake, Minnesota. Online condolences may be left at www.sturmfh.com Arlen John Klaassen was born on May 14, 1955 in Mt. Lake, Minnesota to John and Lil (Buhler) Klaassen. His first few growing up years were spent in Mt. Lake, and the family then moved to Madelia, MN. He graduated from Madelia High School in 1974. He began working at Vandenberg Foods in Madelia. He later moved to Alpha, MN where he was employed at Ag Chem. He enjoyed working on cars and painting them. He loved horses in his younger years. Going on leisure rides on his motorcycle was a favorite past time. Arlie endured many health hardships most of his life but seldom complained. He enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, car shows, music, visiting with folks and family. Grateful for sharing his life with us are his siblings, Linda (Mitch) Wilson, Sioux Falls SD., Charlie (Rhonda) Klaassen, Brooklyn, IA and Laura (Chuck) Winkler, Tucson, AZ. Also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephew, aunts and special cousins. Arlie was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lil Klaassen, grandparents Aron and Mary Buhler and John and Margaret Klaassen. Condolences can be sent to Linda Wilson, 3224 S.
