Ardeen Alvina Brown-Clark was born October 6, 1923, in Amboy Township, Cottonwood County, the daughter of Fredrick and Lenora (Graff) Karow. Ardeen was united in marriage to Raymond Brown on May 1, 1941, and to Melvin Clark on June 24, 1971. She lived her entire life on the family farm in Amboy Township where she enjoyed her love of gardening, raising flowers, baking, reading and sewing. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Sanborn, the Ladies Aid, and the County Extension Club. Ardeen loved her children and grandchildren and had a lot of love in her heart for animals, especially cats and dogs. She is survived by children- Dianne Reiter, Dale (Sue) Brown, Donald Brown, Larry (Cindy) Brown, Cheryl (Michael) Luttmer, Edward (Jonlee) Brown, Beverly (Jeff) Nelson, Michael (Tina) Brown, Marlon Brown, Ronald Brown, Timothy Brown, Thomas (Mona) Brown, and Terry (Sue) Brown; step-sons- Lonnie (Vicky) Clark, Jerry Clark, Michael Clark, and Danny (Lorie) Clark; daughter-in-law- Rita Brown; 47 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 27 years, Raymond Brown; her husband of 25 years, Melvin Clark; sons- Ray, Jr. and Lyle; 2 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; and son-in-law- John.
