Arbadella Peters

Arbadella Joan (Engler) Peters was born to David Jr. and Viola (Schucknecht) Engler on December 29, 1940 in Storden, MN. On March 22, 1941 she was baptized at the ALC Parsonage in Westbrook, MN and confirmed on May 30, 1954 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Windom, MN. Arbie attended school in Heron Lake, MN and graduated on May 28, 1958. On September 13, 1959, she was united in marriage to Dennis M. Peters at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Windom. Arbie worked for the Thibodeau Hatchery in Heron Lake while in school, Land O'Lakes Creamery in the butter department, and then Bonnie's Caf as a waitress for 26 years. She then provided daycare in her home and enjoyed the children she cared for. Arbie and Dennis enjoyed 32 winters in Apache Junction, Arizona where she taught a 7 am water exercise class and worked in the post office in their park. She also enjoyed card making classes, golfing, going out to eat with family and friends, playing cards, and Sunday and Thursday bingo. Arbie loved spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren in all their activities. Arbie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Mt. Lake, MN. Arbie passed away at Alomere Hospital in Alexandria, MN on December 3, 2021, after a short illness at the age of 80. She is survived by her daughters - Pam Coners of Alexandria and Brenda (Chuck) Coners of Comfrey; grandchildren - Elizabeth (Aric) Bowen of Glenwood, Emily Coners (Andrew Windschitl) of Mt. Lake, and Scott Coners (Jessie Reel) of Springfield; great grandchildren - Eric, Aidan and Andrew Bowen, Austin Windschitl, Chloe and Olivia Coners, and Jackson and Jayden Meyers; brothers - Arlan (Ilene) Engler and Chuck Engler; sister-in-law Sandy Anderson; brothers-in-law - Elmer Buller, Clarence Peters, and DuWayne Olson; aunt Pansy Nelson; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Arbie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dennis; brothers - Ardelle, Roger (Jane) Engler, Donald Anderson; sister - Doris (Lyle) Anderson, sisters-in-law - Julie Engler, Rubie Buller, Darlene (Floyd) Oberg Olson, Nancy Peters, Arlene Peters; son-in-law Carl Coners; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
