Angeline Ammann was born on July 6, 1910 on the Hillmount farm near Jackson, MN the daughter of Joseph N. Anna Olive (Cihak) Prokes. She graduated from Peace Memorial High School and attended Mankato Commercial College. After completing her schooling, Angeline worked for the First National Bank in Jackson for 14 years until her marriage. She was united in marriage to Russell Ammann of Oakland, CA formerly of Triumph, MN on September 27th, 1943. The couple made their home in Oakland where Angeline worked during the war at Kaiser's Ship Yard No. # 3 as a secretary and bookkeeper. After the war she worked for a few years at Lagerquist Furniture Distributors in Oakland. After living in California for 14 years they moved back to Minnesota to a farm near Trimont. Russell preceded her in death on February 1, 1990. Angeline continued to make her home on the farm until moving to the Trimont Health Care Center on December 31, 1998. She enjoyed reading and gardening. She leaves to mourn her death, one son, James his wife Lucille of Butterfield and their 3 daughters, Mary, Jo Ann and Sarah, sisters, Rose Ann Thieme of Jackson and Cecelia Benda of Darfur and many nieces and nephews. She was prededed in death by her parents, husband, sister Eleanore Yokiel and brother, Ivan Prokes.
