Amos Decker

Amos Decker Sr. was born on May 15, 1931, at Barrickman Colony, Manitoba, Canada. Throughout the years, Grandpa lived at different Colonies: 1941 - Tschetter Colony, SD; 1963 - Wolfcreek Colony, SD; 1978 - Springlake Colony, SD; 1993 - Oakwood Colony, MN; and 1994 - Neuhof Colony, Mountain Lake, MN. Amos was the loving husband of Dora Decker who passed away on August 15, 1995. They were married on December 10, 1950, at Riverdale Manitoba. In 1990, Amos Decker Sr. struggled with prostate cancer. After going into remission, Grandpa's cancer returned in 2006. This time his cancer was on his pancreas. Amos Decker Sr. passed away peacefully with his family by his side at 11:55 PM on Sunday, June 3, 2007. Amos Decker Sr. was the son of *David and *Susanna (Waldner) Decker from Tschetter Colony, SD; and the beloved brother of: *Susanna (Andrew Hofer) - Tschetter Colony, SD; David Decker (Elizabeth) - Starland Colony, MN; *George Decker (Margaret) Canton, SD; Rachel (Dave Wipf) Haven Colony, MN; *John Decker (Mary) - Wolfcreek Colony, SD; Sarah (Josh Wollman) Starland Colony, MN; *Simon Decker (*Susannah Judith) Springlake Colony, SD; *Thomas Decker - Barrickman Colony, Manitoba, CA; Thomas Decker (Mary) - Haven Colony, MN; Michael Decker (Anna) - Tschetter Colony, SD; Elisabeth (Jake Wurtz) Greenwood Colony, SD; Johanna Decker - Haven Colony, MN. (* - Deceased) Amos Decker Sr. was the beloved father of: Adina - Neuhof Colony, MN; Amos Decker Jr. (Marie) - Neuhof Colony, MN; Dora (Melvin Kleinsasser) - Blumengard Colony, SD; Levi Decker (Lydia) - Beechgrove Colony, England; Esther Decker - Neuhof Colony, MN; Mark Decker (Debra) - Starland Colony, MN; Michael Decker (Elma) - Elmendorf Colony, MN. Grandpa Amos will greatly be missed by his family and his 27 grandchildren.
