Alyce Marie Lamfers was born December 16, 1924, in Madelia, MN, the daughter of Joseph and Theresa (Lenertz) Gisch. She was united in marriage to Daniel Lamfers on February 26, 1946, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Comfrey. The couple lived in Selma Township from 1947 until Daniel's death in 2003. Alyce then moved to Hanska to be closer to her family. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and the CCW. Alyce enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and making quilts. With her friends at Hanska Haus, Alyce put together many puzzles while visiting. Alyce Marie Lamfers died Friday, May 18, 2007, at her home in Hanska at the age of 82 years. She is survived by her daughter- Deanna and husband Harry Zea of Hanska; grandchildren- Kevin Zea and special friend Jamie Baer of Duluth, Michael Zea and fiancee' Helena Simpson of North Mankato, and Tammy Zea of Shakopee; step-grandchildren- Dalton and Levi Simpson; brothers- Richard and wife Rita Gisch of Mountain Lake, and Raymond and wife Betty Gisch of Abernathy, TX; and sister- Helen Krueger of Waite Park. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Daniel in 2003; brother- Joseph Gisch; and sisters- Bernadine Truwe, Alvina Ziegenhagen, and Delores Evers.
