Alice Regina Schultz was born on March 11, 1913 in Sundown Township, Redwood County, the daughter of Christian and Mathilda (Christensen) Frederiksen. She attended Country School Dist # 86 in Sundown Township. She married Adolph Schultz at the Brookville Church on June 24, 1936. After their marriage they lived on a farm near Springfield. In 1948 the couple purchased the WW Caf in Sleepy Eye and renamed it Schultz's Cafe. They operated Schultz's Cafe until 1972 when their son - Keith joined the business and they co - owned the cafe until Keith and his wife Ann purchased Schultz's Cafe in 1985. Alice enjoyed reading, crocheting, watching the MN Twins, being with her children, watching her grandchildren's baseball games, and the Tuesday Coffee Club. Alice died on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children - Peggy (Philip) Hensley of Fairmont, Judy Christensen of Sleepy Eye, Keith (Ann) Schultz of Sleepy Eye, Bradley (Patty) Schultz of Indiana, and Debra (Dan) Fischer of Sleepy Eye; 19 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchild; a brother - Allen Frederiksen of Litchfield; a sister - Florence Anderson of Springfield; a brother-in-law - Gordon (Barb) Schultz of Mankato; and a sister-in-law - Marge Frederiksen of Dallas, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband - Adolph in 1972; brothers - Louis, Elmer, Andrew, Richard, Harry, and Raymond; sisters - Ethel Frederiksen and Pearl Johnson; and a son-in-law - Grant Christensen
